Tinnitus

Tinnitus is a condition where a person will hear writing in their ears. They can hear a ringing noise, buzzing, whistling or similar sound. This can be continuous in some people and the volume of this noise can vary.

Most people develop tinnitus when they are exposed to loud noises for some time. Some people will have some form of hearing loss. A person may also have a blockage in the ear or an infection that is causing this noise. It can be a side effect of medications. It can also be part of the aging process.

Tinnitus can be caused for TMJ which is a problem with the jaw. If a person moves their jaw around they may notice a painful feeling or may hear a popping sound. The joints in the jaw are connected to the ligaments in the inner ear. If there is a problem with the jaw it can lead to a problem with hearing. Luckily, TMJ can be treated.

If a person notices they are hearing sounds or they are experiencing something unusual with their hearing they should see their doctor find the cause of the tinnitus. A person may also want to use a phone sanitizer to clean their cell phones. People spend a lot of time on their phones and with the phone pressed up to the ear. Wiping down the cell phone with sanitizer can help prevent bacteria and other germs from entering the ear which may make the tinnitus worse.

Tinnitus is not a life-threatening condition but it can be annoying and a person will not get a break from it. if a person is hearing noise in their ear for no apparent reason they should visit their doctor and talk about tinnitus and possible options to help with this condition.
